The UAE-India Business Council-UAE Chapter (UIBC-UC) was ably represented at a recent high-level delegationwith His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, underscoring the growing role of the emirate in India-UAE economic and investment cooperation.
UIBC-UC Chairman Mr. Nilesh Ved and CEO Mr. Lakhi Ramchandani joined HE Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the UAE, and a senior delegation of business leaders at the Ruler’s Palace in Saqr bin Mohammed City.
The meeting comes as India-UAE economic ties expand beyond trade into investment, manufacturing, technology, infrastructure, logistics, entrepreneurship and other emerging sectors.
Discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation between India and Ras Al Khaimah and exploring opportunities that leverage the emirate’s growing position as a destination for investment and industrial activity.
The delegation included prominent business leaders and UIBC-UC members, including Mr. Ankur Gupta of Tata Sons, Mr. Tariq Chauhan of EFS Facilities Services Group and Mr. Abdulla Naser Almarzooqi of Mubadala. Their participation brought together senior representatives from government and industry, highlighting the importance of sustained business-to-government and business-to-business engagement in advancing bilateral economic priorities.
Ras Al Khaimah’s expanding industrial base, investment environment and strategic connectivity position it as an increasingly relevant platform for Indian companies exploring opportunities in manufacturing, logistics, infrastructure and other sectors.
For UIBC-UC, the engagement reinforces its role in facilitating dialogue between Indian and UAE businesses, investors and policymakers. Its mandate is increasingly aligned with the next phase of bilateral economic relations, where private-sector partnerships and cross-border investment are expected to play a larger role.
The meeting also reflects the broader evolution of India-UAE relations, with the partnership becoming more investment-led and diversified across sectors.
