UIBC-UC Leadership Meets H.E. Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE

Mr. Faizal Kottikollon,Chairman of UIBC-UC, along with Mr. Kshitij Korde, had the pleasure of calling on H.E. Dr. Deepak Mittal, Ambassador of India to the UAE, at the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi.

This meeting with Ambassador Mittal,a highly respected bureaucrat who has significantly contributed to advancing the India story globally through years of public service, provided a valuable opportunity to share UIBC-UC’s journey since inception. The discussion underscored the Council’s role as a facilitator of marquee projects and high-level delegations across the India-UAE corridor. The Council continues to work closely with the support and guidance of the Hon. Ambassador, the Embassy of India, the Hon. Consul General, and the Consulate on strategic initiatives, including its key contribution to the UAE–India Friendship Hospital.

The Chairman extended heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency on the recent visit of H.H. Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to India, marking yet another milestone in strengthening bilateral ties. Discussions focused on emerging growth opportunities in UAE, India, and across the broader India-UAE economic corridor, highlighting the immense potential for deeper collaboration.

The conversation also touched upon UIBC-UC’s research and knowledge-building initiatives, reaffirming the Council’s commitment to informed and forward-looking engagement. The Chairman presented one of UIBC-UC’s flagship publications, Opening New Gateways: Tourism Opportunities in India and UAE, to His Excellency and highlighted various think tank–centric initiatives exploring the global potential of India-UAE CEPA, the AI landscape in both nations, and the impact of Sovereign Wealth Funds.

The dialogue further highlighted completed projects and future opportunities in infrastructure and human capital development, including the Dream School Initiative in Jammu & Kashmir, championed by the Faizal & Shabana Foundation and supported by UIBC-UC. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to inclusive development and social impact across the India-UAE partnership, with research serving as a key enabler in advancing the leadership’s vision.

This engagement reinforces the importance of public-private partnerships in driving a shared vision, with both sides looking forwardto nurturing a lasting partnership and continuing to build bridges of insight, collaboration, and opportunity between India and the UAE.
